Education and Group Tours

Educational Materials

The War and The Wall Curriculum set is a free education initiative from the Vietnam Veterans Memorial Fund that helps educators bring the Vietnam War into the classroom through engaging, inquiry‑based learning.

The program offers thoughtfully designed curriculum sets that explore the war’s causes, course and consequences while connecting history to broader themes such as civic engagement, media influence, cultural change and the human cost of conflict. Flexible and interdisciplinary, the resources support meaningful discussion and critical thinking across history, civics and humanities classrooms.

Through themes including society and culture, military service and veterans’ experiences, media and public perception and U.S. politics and policy, these sets encourage students to see the Vietnam War not as a single event, but as a formative chapter in American history with lasting relevance today.

Each curriculum set includes discussion guides and primary‑source‑based materials that are easy to implement, empowering educators to foster empathy, historical understanding and informed citizenship.
