The One Big Beautiful Bill Act (OB3), signed into law on July 4, 2025, brings major changes to federal student aid starting July 1, 2026.
Updates include changes to loan limits, loan types, and repayment options, and mainly affect new students, new loan borrowers, and students enrolled less than full-time.
