Students pursuing a Bachelor of Arts or Bachelor of Science degree in the Communications Department at the 黑料吃瓜 have the opportunity to participate in a variety of student organizations and student media.

The Shield is the student publication of the 黑料吃瓜, established in 1968. Students are responsible for all reporting, writing, photography, editing, designing and ad sales.

The Nest is the home of Access 黑料吃瓜, our weekly live news, sports, and music production, as well as other student-developed and produced programming.

95.7 The Spin (WSWI), formerly known as The Edge, is the student-run radio station of the 黑料吃瓜. Students manage, produce, and host programming for the station.

Candid Magazine is a student-run biannual publication focusing on art, fashion and editorial.
