NOMINATIONS ACCEPTED THROUGH MARCH 24, 2025

ºÚÁÏ³Ô¹Ï Career Services and Internships is accepting nominations for outstanding interns, internship host organizations, and faculty mentors and internship advisors who have demonstrated excellence in internship engagement and support. Nominations are accepted, and awards are presented based on the calendar year. Example: spring 2024, summer 2024 and fall 2024 internships are eligible for nominations through March 24, 2025.

  • EXCEPTIONAL FACULTY INTERNSHIP ADVISOR

Guidelines:

Nominations are accepted and awards are presented based on the calendar year. 

Student Intern Eligibility

  • Must be nominated by a ºÚÁÏ³Ô¹Ï faculty member or supervisor from their internship site.
  • Must be a current registered student at the ºÚÁÏ³Ô¹Ï in good standing or new graduate.
  • Must have participated in an internship for a minimum of 100 hours during a semester or summer term during the current nomination cycle.
  • Both for-credit internships and non-credit internships are eligible.
  • The student must report their complete Internship information prior to the nomination deadline.
  • Clinical, human services, and student teaching field experiences required by academic departments are not eligible for nomination

Guidelines:

Nominations are accepted, and awards are presented based on the calendar year. 

Internship Employer Eligibility

  • Must be nominated by a current or former student intern, or by a ºÚÁÏ³Ô¹Ï faculty internship advisor.
  • Must have hosted one or more ºÚÁÏ³Ô¹Ï interns within the current nomination cycle. The internship must have equaled at least 100 intern hours during a semester or summer term.
  • Provide a quality, structured internship experience for ºÚÁÏ³Ô¹Ï students.
  • Mentor and encourage students to set learning goals and help ensure they meet the goals.
  • Provide opportunities for learning and leadership throughout the students' internship experience.
  • Evaluate the students' internship experience through evaluations provided by either ºÚÁÏ³Ô¹Ï Career Services or the faculty advisor at the end of the internship term. (May also include mid-term evaluation).
  • The student must report their complete Internship information prior to the nomination deadline.
  • Clinical, human services, and student teaching field experiences required by academic departments are not eligible for nomination

Faculty Internship Advisor Eligibility

  • Must be a current ºÚÁÏ³Ô¹Ï faculty member and be nominated by a current or former student who completed an internship under their guidance during the current nomination cycle.
  • Must be responsible for facilitating aspects of the student internship experience. Including any of the following:
    • Preparation for the internship application process or referral to ºÚÁÏ³Ô¹Ï Career Services for assistance.
    • Collecting information about student internships and instructing the students to report their internships to the university database (Career Launch).
    • Provide a method for the internship supervisor to evaluate the students' internship experience either on your own or through Career Services at the end of the internship term. (May also include mid-term evaluation).
    • Mentoring students and encouraging or requiring them to set and meet learning goals throughout their internship experience.
  • The student must report their complete Internship information prior to the nomination deadline.
  • Clinical, human services, and student teaching field experiences required by academic departments are not eligible for nomination
